Analytics Director
Katie joined Jaywing in 2006 and is one of our most experienced Risk Consultants. Katie specialises in portfolio analytics, scorecard development, strategy-setting, forecasting, and reporting. She also has experience in IFRS9 and IRB, having served as interim Capital & Impairment manager at TSB for two periods during the past 4 years.
Recently, Katie managed the delivery of an early warning enhancement to the alignment process and a “Challenger ML model” tool for HSBC’s Model Monitoring team. Prior to this Katie managed the due-diligence analysis for a liquidating portfolio as part of a potential acquisition by an investment bank - producing a cash-flow forecast and segmentation analysis, defending the methodology and results against robust challenges from the investors and sellers.
Katie’s recent strategy work includes a project with IKANO to devise AML/KYC rules for a new credit product and a major project with BNP Paribas to set their policy rules and cut-off strategy for their new Dixons scorecard. This work also included analysing the flow through the application process and identifying reasons for drop-outs along the way. A second project with BNP was to review their initial and ongoing limit strategies.
Previous work with Jaywing includes being a key part of the setting up of the risk team as part of the divestment of TSB from LBG, and a long-term role at Egg within the Jaywing-staffed credit risk team.
Katie holds a degree in Mathematics from Warwick University.
